Who is Mata?

Mata is Sicily.

A princess from Messina, daughter of the Greek, Arab, and Norman worlds that meet, and of a land that has made contamination its strength.

Her face is that of the Gorgon, an ancient symbol of the island, here reinterpreted as a mask of Greek theater: power and beauty, light and shadow, together.

Medusa's snakes become orange blossoms, the flower brought by the Arabs, whose name in Arabic means flower and good fortune. A scented crown instead of a crown of snakes. Because Mata doesn't petrify: she tells.

Design your story

Not just words, but a promise of a journey to share.

Mission

I transform ideas into stories and stories into digital identities: design, photos, videos, and motion graphics to bring out what makes a brand unique.

Who is Marta?

It all began with a passion: cinema and photography. But at a certain point, just looking wasn't enough. I wanted to understand how stories are created, from the inside. So I studied DAMS at Roma Tre University, then took a Multimedia course at the Luchino Visconti Film School, and from there I started getting serious.

I spent my first years on the job, shooting and producing for Hubnormal Films (where I also worked for brands like Maison L'Oréal Paris) and then as a freelancer, collaborating on digital and social projects with companies like Showreel Media Group, Chef in Camicia, and Just Knock. For years, I coordinated the video department at Omnicom Media Italia, managing social content and supporting national and international competitions.

Over time, I've become increasingly drawn to the world of branding, and I've come to understand why: it brings together everything I love—video, photography, graphics, design—and puts it to work to tell a story. Which is exactly what I want to do.

Today, I'm building my freelance career, combining two souls that I've always kept separate but that actually speak the same language. On one hand, digital communication and brand design, where I help businesses and individuals find their visual voice. On the other, cosplay photography, where my geeky passion for video games, history, and mythology becomes creative material: each shot is, in its own way, a small act of storytelling.

Values

For me, communication means listening and making intentional choices: nothing is left to chance. I work with the client as a team, with complicity and a shared goal. And I'm always on the move: continuous research, attention to the details that truly make the difference.
